Central Maui: Kahului and Wailuku
Kahului is the first impression of Maui that the majority of visitors encounter while touching down at the international airport. It is centrally located to Maui’s industrial, government and diversified agricultural operations on the island. The residential sections of the town started with old plantation villages and communities that are now being renovated along with new planned housing developments surrounding golf course communities.

Wailuku is nestled up against the lush leeward side of the West Maui Mountains and is the capital of Maui. It is the cultural center of the island, offering theatre, historic buildings, hip boutiques, Hawaiian artifacts and fantastic restaurants. It is also centrally located to Maui’s hospital and medical facilities, the University of Hawaii, government offices, and Maui’s most affordable new home construction zones: Kehalani Mauka and Waikapu. Wailuku spans from village of Kahakuloa to the very north east side of the island, all the way to central beachfront condo’s in Ma’alaea Bay.
